How to View Your Profile #
- Tap the “Profile” icon on the main navigation or access it through the user menu.
- A “Profile” screen will appear, displaying the following information:
- Name: Your registered name.
- Username: Your unique identifier.
- Location: Your current residence.
- Bio: A short description about yourself. You can include links here.
- Selected Interests: The topics you have chosen as your interests.
- Profile Picture: Your chosen profile image.
- Cover Image: The banner image displayed on your profile.
- Published Projects and posts: Viewable in the “Projects” and “Posts” section of your profile.
- List of followers and following: Accessible from dedicated sections on your profile
How to Edit Your Profile #
- Locate the “Edit Profile” button.
- Edit the following fields:
- Name: Enter the desired name for your profile.
- Bio: Enter a brief description about yourself. You can include links in your bio. To add a link, simply type or paste the full URL
- Profile Picture: Click on the camera button near profile picture and select a new image from your device’s gallery or camera.
- Location: You can change where you are currently located.
- Selected Interests (how to add/remove): click on the interest dropdown, select interests that you want to add and click on “x” that appears near eac of the interest to remove a selected interest
- Cover Image : Tap the Cover Image and Select a new image from your device’s gallery or camera.
- Guidelines: Ensure the image complements your profile and adheres to any recommended dimensions or format.
- Click on the “Save “ button to save changes.
- Upon successfully saving your changes, a confirmation message (e.g., “Profile updated successfully”) will appear.
- If any of the entered information is invalid (e.g., exceeding character limits, incorrect file format for images), an error message will be displayed indicating the issue that needs to be corrected.
How to Create a New Project #
- Locate and click the “Create New Project” button from the projects section on the profile.
- A pop-up screen appears for creating a new project.
- Fill in the project details:
- Project Title: Enter a title for your project.
- Project Description: Enter the main content describing your project with links (optional).
- Image Upload / Adding Links (Optional): Tap the “Upload Image” to add image.
- Adding Project Members (Optional): Add member is associated with the project
- Software Used: Specify the software technologies utilized in the project.
- Project Status: Update the current status of your project by selecting “Ongoing” / Completed” from the dropdown.
- Projects will also be added to the team member’s profile
- A success message will appear confirming the project has been created).
- The new project will be visible in the designated “Projects” area of your profile.
How to Edit a Project #
- Locate the “Edit” button from the three dots on the project’s detail page.
- On the Edit page, following fields can be edited:.
- Project Title: Enter a new title for your project.
- Project Description: Modify the main content of your project description. You can update any included links.
- Images/Links: Update or remove existing images and links, and add new ones.
- Project Members (adding/removing): Add new members to the project or remove existing ones.
- Ongoing Status: Update the current status of the project
- Software Used: Modify the list of software or tools used in the project.
- Clicking the “Update” button, updates the changes made.
- Clicking “Cancel” will discard any changes made and will not save them.
- After clicking “Cancel,” you will be redirected back to the project’s detail page without any modifications being saved.
- If attempted to save changes with invalid input (such as leaving the Project Title field empty), an error message will appear, indicating the issue that needs to be corrected before saving.
How to View a Project #
- Navigate to the project’s specific page (for example, by selecting it from a displayed list of projects).
- Once on the project page, you will find the following information:
- Project Title: The name assigned to the project.
- Project Description: A detailed explanation of the project’s goals, features, and scope. This may also include relevant links.
- Images: Image attached to the project.
- Project Members: A list of individuals involved in the project.
- Software Used: Information about the tools and technologies utilized in the project’s development.
- For projects that are currently in progress, an “Ongoing” status will be clearly indicated.
- For projects that arecompleted, a “Completed” status will be clearly indicated.
How to Rate a Project #
- A 5-star scale can be located at the bottom of each project description.
- Click or tap on the desired rating (e.g., clicking on the 4th star to give a 4-star rating).
- Average rating for the project is displayed.
How to Delete a Project #
- Navigate to the project you want to delete.
- Locate the “Delete” button from three dots on the post. This button is only visible on posts you have created.
- Tap the “Delete” button.
- A confirmation prompt will appear to ensure you want to delete the post.
- Tap “Delete” to proceed with deletion.
- The project will be permanently removed.
- A success message will be displayed.
How to Like a Project #
- Navigate to the project you want to like.
- Locate the “Like” button on the project, a heart icon.
- Tap the “Like” button.
- The button will toggle its state:
- If you haven’t liked the post, tapping the button will like it.
- If you have already liked the project, tapping the button will unlike it.
- The number of likes displayed next to the button will update to reflect your action.
- The project’s author will receive a notification that you liked their project.
How to Comment on a Project #
- Navigate to the project you want to comment on.
- Locate the comment input field below the post.
- Tap the comment input field and enter your comment.
- Tap the “Arrow” button to submit your comment.
- Your comment will be displayed below the project.
- Replying to Comments:
- A “Reply” button or option on each comment.
- Tap “Reply” to enter a reply to that specific comment.
- Deleting Your Comments:
- You should be able to delete your own comments.
- Locate the “Delete” option on your comment from thre dots.
- Tap “Delete” and confirm to delete your comment.
- Liking Comments:
- Similar to project, comments can also be liked.
- Tap the “Like” button on a comment to like it.
- Notifications: You will receive notifications for replies to your comments.
How to Share a Project #
- Navigate to the project you want to share.
- Locate the “Share” button on the project.
- Tap the “Share” button.
- A menu of sharing options will appear.
- Select the “Copy Link” option.
- The post’s unique link will be copied to your clipboard.
- You can then paste this link into other applications or messages to share the post.
How to Report a Project #
- Navigate to the project you want to report.
- Locate the “Report” option from the three dots on the project.
- Tap the “Report” option.
- A pop-up screen will appear with a text field.
- Select the reason for reporting the comment and write the reason in the text field.
- Tap the “Report” to submit your report.
- A confirmation message will be displayed to confirm that the report has been sent.
- The report will be sent to the administrators for review.
How to Report a Comment (on a Project) #
- Navigate to the comment you want to report.
- Locate the “Report” option from the three dots on the comment.
- Tap the “Report” option.
- A pop-up screen will appear with a text field.
- Select the reason for reporting the comment and write the reason in the text field.
- Tap the “Report” to submit your report.
- A confirmation message will be displayed to confirm that the report has been sent.
The report will be sent to the administrators for review.
